holiday meal

An annual tradition, this holiday lunch is served "restaurant-style" on table cloths, china, and with a friendly smile. Kansas City Community Kitchen shuts down for the day so that we can offer a meal in this beautiful setting at Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral's Founders Hall (at 13th/Broadway, downtown KCMO). Guests will get a beautiful holiday meal, Christmas cards to send to family and friends, and a chance to shop in a Free Store for winter clothing items.

We're looking for a large number of people to help us staff the hospitality and dining areas (hosts, waiters, beverage station, platers, bussing, etc.). There are a number of positions to choose from and age requirements of 14 for some (10 yrs old minimum for any of them). If you have previous experience with this event, please be sure to let us know when you reach out.

Happy Holidays!

Description

NourishKC, formerly known as Episcopal Community Services, specializes in a unique blend of food related programs.

The Kansas City Community Kitchen provides more than 1500 restaurant-style meals each week to anyone who comes to eat. Our Food Security Network supplies thousands more meals per year through a network of food pantries, BackSnack programs and other meal programs around the metro. Perhaps what makes us most unique is our Culinary Cornerstones training program which provides individuals an opportunity to learn life skills as well as culinary skills, giving them a chance to get a living wage job that will provide them with food access for the long term.
