Done in a Day (DIAD)/ Special Projects Volunteers:
Individuals or groups who volunteer for one time or periodic (such as monthly) projects will be assigned the DIAD designation. This may include special projects, gift wrapping, events, etc.. These activities are always supervised by either the volunteer coordinator or a site coordinator, and generally carry little to no client contact. Project Hope is happy to partner with schools, businesses, churches, organizations, and individuals who wish to participate in or orchestrate their own Done in a Day service activity. We encourage organizers to use their own creativity to develop opportunities that suite their style and abilities. However, the volunteer coordinator is available to assist with planning and scheduling, and must pre-approve all projects. Minors accompanied by supervising adults may participate as this type of volunteer. Groups and individuals participating in this program must submit volunteer applications, undergo background checks and participate in the Volunteer Training Program. Additionally, hours spent in service must be tracked and submitted to the volunteer coordinator. Hours must be submitted by the first of each month for prior month’s service
Qualifications:
- Age 18 or older or accompanied by a parent/ qualifying adult who assumes responsibility
- Desire to contribute to a community service organization.
- Demonstration of responsibility and dependability.
- Neat appearance and professional demeanor.
