Position Overview:
The Marketing Team Lead coordinates and supervises the operations of the Specialist Marketing Teams which comprise of: Brand & Brand Communications, Campaigns, Events, Website, Community, and Internal Communications and Project Collateral. The successful candidate will oversee the Specialist Marketing Teams to develop strategic solutions and their tactical implementation. The Marketing Team Lead will work closely with and report to the Marketing Chair.

Responsibilities:

  • Host regular status meetings with the specialist marketing teams
  • Accurate and timely implementation of marketing collateral
  • Direct specialist marketing teams to coordinate on projects that overlap or require a combination of specializations
  • Ensure the specialist marketing teams achieve their goals: Guiding the development of quantitative and qualitative measures of success for tactical implementations, Delivering forward-looking editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all organizational publications according to branding standards, Providing brand consistency and superior user experience through all digital marketing and communication channels, and to Maximize cost efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Education in marketing, business, communications or an equivalent professional qualification
  • At least 3 years of industry experience
  • Preferred professional designations from institutions such as Canadian Marketing Association and/or Certified Marketing Professionals of Canada
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing concepts and practices
  • Experience managing special events and volunteer resources
  • Experience managing co-located and virtual teams
  • Awareness of international issues, technology, and volunteer management
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial legislation affecting charities
  • Strong project management and performance measurement skills
  • Ability to deliver planned and ad hoc requests within short notice
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Utilizing open source digital marketing tools
  • Utilizing MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe Photoshop, In-Design, Slack
  • Independent self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Highly collaborative working style and relationship building abilities
  • Ability to lead others and positively influence individuals and outcomes

Time Commitment
Approximately 5 to 10 hours per week
