Kettle

Join The Salvation Army as we start ringing in the holiday season! The Red Kettle Campaign is The Salvation Army's biggest fundraiser and you can help by becoming a volunteer bell ringer!

With kettle locations all over San Francisco, you are able to spread awareness about the good that Salvation Army is doing around the world as you meet people all around the city.

This is a great way to give back to the community and have fun while doing so. Volunteers who bell ring are changing lives each year as the funds they raise are used to feed homeless, give resources to families, further the education of children, and life enrichment for seniors.

This opportunity is great for individuals as well as groups ((volunteers must be 18 years of age or above unless accompanied by a parent or guardian)! Hours are flexible depending on your availability!

If you are interested in getting involved this Christmas season, or have any questions, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (415) 345-3425 or register with the following link. We look forward to hearing from you!

About The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center

Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Description

he 63,000 square-foot San Francisco Kroc Center redefines what a community center is all about. The unprecedented place of gathering and enrichment houses an array of education, sports, faith, arts and supportive programs. The programs, as well as the building itself, have been designed to stimulate the mind, body, and spirit, to provide hope, and to transform the life of each and every member of the community.

Joan Kroc, wife of McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc, had a clear vision in mind: build state-of-art recreational and arts facilities in underserved communities throughout the nation to ensure that all individuals have equal opportunities to grow their natural gifts and talents. In 2003, Mrs. Kroc passed away, and entrusted to The Salvation Army the largest gift ever given to a private charity for the express purpose of building and endowing Kroc Centers.

A fulfillment of Joan Kroc’s vision, the Kroc Center in San Francisco, is comprised of five major components: a Center of Worship, an Education Center, an Aquatics Center, a Fitness and Recreation Center, and Special Event Facilities.
