Volunteers needed to assist with light Maintenance duties at any of our locations (Headquarters / not a patient facility: 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110), David Simpson Hospice House (300 East 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119), Ames Family Hospice House (30080 Hospice Way, Westlake, OH 44145) and Hospice of Medina (5075 Windfall Rd., Medina OH, 44256) .
Duties may include: breaking down of cardboard boxes, shredding paperwork, door and lock lubrication, wheelchair maintenance, stocking of housekeeping supplies, mat cleaning, replacing light bulbs, blowing leaves from bldg entrances, snowplowing sidewalks (using our snowblower), setting up rooms for meetings (setting up tables, chairs, etc), sorting recyclables) and anything else that the maintenance staff might need help with.
Volunteer has the right to accept or reject all assignments without judgement and is not required to do all tasks listed above.
Volunteer does not need to have had a work history in the Maintenance field in order to be able to help. Brief volunteer training (to acquaint you with the basics of our agency and mission) is offered but a brief individual orientation may replace this.
Hours are flexible and per your availability.
Criminal background check and TB test required, provided by agency.

Description
Hospice of the Western Reserve provides care for patients where ever they call home, whether that be at home, in a nursing home, assisted living, one of our inpatient units, or in a hospital. Care is provided regardless of ability to pay. We use a team approach where volunteers are of equal importance to all other members of the team.
