Adult ESL Class (Chamblee) Monday or Wednesday mornings - Teach Adults to learn English

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities Atlanta

Make a big impact in someone's life! Help adults learn to speak English by serving one evening each week.

The students attend class two mornings a week Monday and Wednesday for three hours each morning. The students are with the lead instructor from 9:00 to 10:00AM, in one large group. Then they are divided into smaller groups, based on their ability to speak English, and taught by volunteers for the last two hours. During this time, our goal is for the students to speak as much as possible.

We are recruiting adult volunteers with excellent English language skills to teach and assist at our office in Chamblee. Classes begin in late July and end in mid-December. The commitment we seek from volunteers is to be in a classroom once a week for two hours: 10:00AM to noon. Preparation takes about an hour.

We have two possible orientation dates scheduled for people interested in volunteering:

Wednesday evening, June 21st 6:00PM to 9:00PM

Wednesday evening, July 12th 6:00PM to 9:00PM

When you express interest, we will let you know of the possible orientation dates and locations.
