Sexual assault advocates are part of a network of organized and specially trained volunteers who provide immediate support and information to survivors of sexual violence and concerned others as they go through the process of forensic interview and exam at our newly established Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) facility in Pelham, Alabama.Advocates are the first step in the survivors’ journey to healing.We train, support, and supervise advocates who stand ready to respond when called.

  • Two 12-hour on-call shifts per month
