The Furry Friends Pet Food Bank is looking for animal loving people to help us out! We are the only all animal food bank in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
At The Furry Friends Food Bank we have a passion and deep love for animals. Small ones. Large ones. Ones in-between. Furry and not so furry. We understand and cherish the role that pets play in our lives. Sometimes the only constant in a person’s life is the love and bond they share with their pet. We get it. Because at The Furry Friends Food Bank, we are animal lovers too. They are our passion. Our love. And we know you feel the same way.
And we also know that times are tough for humans and animals. No one should ever have to choose between feeding themselves or their pet. At The Furry Friends Food Bank our goal is to make sure no animal goes hungry. And no human has to give up their beloved pets because they cannot afford to keep them. We want to keep pets out of shelters and in their homes and we want to help the ones currently in rescues and shelters find forever homes.
We want to be the main source of food for pets in need.
We are looking for volunteers to:
--Help out at our pet food drives. Help collect pet food for our programs.
--Help distribute pet food to shelters, rescues, individuals and seniors in need.
--Help with fiundraising
--Online help (help with social media)
--Conduct food drives at your school, work, neighborhood for our food bank
--Help call local businesses to solicit donations and donated items
--Help at our larger events like our dog walks, auctions and pet fairs we put on
--Help with our media campaigns (designing posters, flyers, ads....)

Mission Statement
The goal and mission for The Furry Friends Foundation is to make the world a better place for animals and for people. Through adoptions, education, animal-centric events and activities, The Furry Friends Foundation wants to help improve the lives of all animals. We want our organization to help be the catalyst that helps countless animals find their forever homes. We want to be able to provide other rescues a place to showcase their animals in need of adoption and to raise the profile of rescue animals (via our pet fairs and dog walks). We want to show through animal performance events such as lure coursing and dock diving, that the human and animal bond can be strengthened and humans and animals can connect on deep and meaningful levels.
Description
The Furry Friends Foundation will hold events and fundraisers in for other charitable organizations. We will hold dog walks, silent auctions and organize and hold major pet fairs each year.
At these pet fairs we will invite dozens and dozens of local and national charities and rescue organizations to take part in our pet fair. These charities and rescues via the pet fairs and events that we put on and pay for, will be able to raise money for their charities, raise awareness of the plight of their charities, and the animal charities will be able to bring in animals that are in need of homes. The pet fairs that we plan, organize, fund and plan and will be a catalyst for the local community to turn towards rescues and adoptions of animals in need. These pet fairs will bring great awareness to the local rescue community, and will help save and adopt out countless animals.
