Are you looking for a socially-conscious volunteer opportunity this holiday season? On Thursday, November 23rd, Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is looking for volunteers to help decorate our store for the season.
From 9 am - 12 noon, help support a mission for social justice in the African community.
Volunteers will enjoy snacks, music and fun as we clean and winterize the display windows with lights and decorations.
Great volunteer opportunity for families, friends, groups, coworkers and individuals!

APEDF's mission is to defend the civil and human rights of the African community and to address the disparities in economic development, health and education of the African community.

Description
Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles is a non-profit store that is a fundraiser for black community empowerment programs of APEDF. We receive a truck load of donated furniture and household items every day. This is a lively, popular Grand Lake area store staffed mostly by volunteers. When you volunteer at Uhuru Furniture, you not only contribute to the success of the store, you become part of a larger movement for peace through social justice. People shop at Uhuru Furniture for low priced, top quality items and to support crucial programs for social justice for African people.
