The New Mexico Philharmonic's Young Musician Initiative is looking for 4 to 6 volunteers each day to assist with homework, as well as monitor hallways during bathroom breaks. Regular volunteers (from 1x per week to 4x per week) are especially appreciated. The Young Musician Initiative (YMI) is an after school program for kids in Title 1 schools. They get regular school work help and music lessons for free. Their parents and teachers tell us that they see a tremendous improvement in grades and teamwork in our kids. The program runs 2:45-3:30pm Mon-Thur, excluding school holidays/closures.
