We have several libraries who receive donations that they cannot manage - the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library has offered to not only take in these donations but also create donation stations for people who cannot get to our main Donation Center.
We need volunteers whose primary responsibility involves picking up donated books from a library branch (volunteers choose one) and delivering it to the Donation Center. Volunteers must check in every week or two to see if their assigned library branch needs a book pick up. Volunteers will also need to carry empty boxes, which can be picked up from the Donation Center. For bigger donations volunteers can call Donation Center Driver to come pick up.
Volunteers must have a vehicle and a valid's driver's license. This position is ideal for someone who is personable and can deal with multiple personalities.
