About

Community-based Workplace Mentoring

Mentoring is the process through which the development of a person occurs, one where resources, values and perspective are used to foster the personal and professional growth of another person. The Partnership for the Homeless’ Economic Opportunities Program (EOP) mentors provide sponsorship, visibility, coaching, challenging assignments, and opportunities for immersion in new experiences which directly support the mentee’s personal and professional development. In addition, our mentors provide role modeling, acceptance, confirmation to support the mentee’s self-image and competence. The primary functions of our mentors are to build a strong mentor relationship through listening, guidance, advice, teaching and professional support. Mentors will be working with formerly homeless women who are heads of households.
