We are seeking individuals to help us connect the public to our organization. Our Community Outreach Coordinators will do the following:

  • Promote the CLEAN mission, program and events
  • Help brainstorm ideas to promote our workshops (e.g., events, marketing)
  • Manage social media platforms and generate content (e.g., financial literacy facts)
  • Assist in recruiting other volunteers

We are excited to work with people who are experienced in community outreach, as well as newbies who want to gain some experience!

About Financially CLEAN

Location:

957 UTICA AVE, BROOKLYN, NY 11203, US

Mission Statement

Financially CLEAN helps youth and young adults, especially those underserved, build financial knowledge and discipline to serve as a foundation in creating generational wealth for themselves, their families and their communities.

Description

Financially CLEAN is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to develop financial discipline and drive responsible decision making using a relatable and practical approach.

Financially CLEAN offers fun, interactive 8-12 week workshops to middle school, high school, and college students, as well as adult classes on how to manage, grow and protect their money, based on the 5 key principles of CLEAN:

  • Credit
  • Learn to Live Without
  • Education
  • Attention to Detail
  • No Shame in Your Game
Launched in 2015, CLEAN has taught over 250 classes and empowered over 5,000 students and adults in the US and Canada. Our straight-talk, interactive approach allows us to engage with young people from a variety of traditionally underserved demographics.

Our partners include local elementary and high schools, universities, youth organizations, independent workshops, mentorship programs, and more. Organizations like Microsoft, TD Bank, Axis Capital, UBS, PwC, the National Association of Black Accountants, and the Federal Reserve of New York have worked with us to share resources, pledge volunteers, or host field-trips and events. We have hosted three adult financial literacy programs recently in partnership with the Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams.
