Join us in spreading holiday cheer to low-income families in western Washington County!
Every year, Bienestar hosts holiday parties for nine affordable housing properties. Through the generosity of donors in the Portland metro area, we are able to distribute toys to children in each apartment complex.
This year, we're looking for volunteer musicians and carolers to share the joy of the holiday through song. Volunteers will perform seasonal songs for about 15 minutes at each location to set the mood for the gift distribution. No musical experience needed!
Volunteers should be available at least one of the following dates:
Dec. 20: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Dec. 21: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Dec. 22: 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Description
Bienestar is a 35-year-old nonprofit community development corporation providing affordable housing and resident services to agricultural workers and other low-income families in Washington County. Bienestar owns 12 apartment properties and serves more than 2,000 individuals, about 93% of whom are Latino. In addition, Bienestar has built and sold five lease-to-own homes to farmworker families.
Through our on-site Community Rooms, Bienestar offers free resident services programs, including educational youth and adult programs. These include MpowR Club, financial literacy programs, ESL classes, GED classes, Education Navigation, Summer Lunch and Fun, Explorador Camp, Individualized Development Accounts and more.
