About

Catholic Charities Of Los Angeles Immigration and Refugee Services is seeking a DACA volunteers. CCLA is offering FREE DACA services, this is a great opportunity to help immigrant youth. Volunteers will be supporting community members with completing Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). DACA is a program that allows eligible immigrant youth a two year work permit and exemption from deportation.

Purpose:
Volunteers will help with immigrant youth complete DACA applications.

Training:
No prior immigration experience required. Training will be provided to all volunteers, training will consist of how to fill out an application,document sorting among other items.

Time Commitment:
Thursdays: DACA applicants are assisted on Thursdays. Shifts are from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm to
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Individuals can take the morning or afternoon shift, accommodations can also be made with volunteers if needed.

Weekdays: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Can accommodate individuals time scheduled. Asked to come to the office in minimum of 4 hour blocks and to be commited with their schedules.

Working Environment:
CCLA works with a number of immigrant and refugees, we ask volunteers to be professional and discreet when helping clients. CCLA has a casual dress code, and ask volunteers to be mindful of professional appearance.
