Description
GWLN is looking for a social media savvy volunteer. Primarily the need is to work on our year end fundraising through social media - sharing stories of our graduates/alums and their amazing work. This media campaign would run from October end to January second week. Secondary role is to keep our feeds active on all digital platforms and engaging actively with people who follow/tweet/like/comment - we need to start curating our audience.
Volunteers must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, collaborative, adaptable and must possess a strong sense of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Stay abreast of GWLN activities and key global events and issues related to women rights and leadership
Post messages and digital content regarding GWLN program events, activities and special celebrations on multiple social media channels
Research and propose new features that can improve user interface and increase traffic
Assess and track the performance of GWLN social media channels
Prepare monthly progress report on social media channels
Attend GWLN events as needed
Skills Required
Strong knowledge and experience with posting and developing social media channels
(Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube)
Good online research skills
Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups
Effective communicator and troubleshooter
Ability to make decisions and follow through with minimal supervision
Equipment Requirements
Computer with DVD Burner
Work Environment
Minimum of 15 hours a week
Flexible hours
Can work virtually
Compensation
This position is a volunteer position.
