We need someone who can help set up and run our weekly repackaging sessions that run on Mondays and Fridays from 9 am until 12pm. On these days we repackage dry foods, taking them from larger bulk sized bags and portioning them out into serving sized containers. These repackaged foods will be put into our HIP Packs, which are distrubuted to students in our community who need them. We currently have volunteers from Work Oppertunities and other Job Training organizations who do the repackaging but we really need someone who can help with set up, organization, inventory and moving products from the storeroom to the repackaging room.
Time: 9am-12pm on Mondays or Fridays. We are looking for two volunteers, one for each day.

HIP’s programs bring nutrition education to local families and vital meals to neighbors in need through our Summer Meals for Kids, Afterschool Snack, Shelter Meals, and Senior Meals programs. Our Healthy HIP Packs program also provides vital weekend food support to children at risk of hunger when they are out of school. HIP is actively engaged with many local, statewide, and national coalitions of food justice organizations to advocate for policy level changes to address hunger.
