Join us for our annual fall planting and restoration work party to help restore North Creek Forest at the Upper Restoration Sites! Our work for the day includes planting native trees and shrubs donated by Bartlett Tree Experts, spreading mulch, and removing invasive plants, like Himalayan blackberry and English ivy. Lastly, our most difficult task will be eating all the chili and cornbread served at the end of the event!
Removing the invasive plants will make room for the native plants, and mulching will provide soil nutrients while reducing erosion. No experience is required, and all ages and group sizes are more than welcome!
Friends of North Creek Forest will provide tools, gloves, and a light refreshments for all volunteers. Directions are below:
UPPER RESTORATION SITES (#4, #5)
- Directions: Use 10654 NE 204th Pl., Bothell, WA 90811 as the destination in your preferred mapping system and follow along. You will soon see our meeting location when you arrive. The above address is directly adjacent to the upper restoration sites.
Email our volunteer coordinator, Greg, at gregw@friendsnorthcreekforest.org for any questions, and please allow 3 business days for a response. We look forward to having you out in North Creek Forest!
