ORGANIZATION: All Stars Project of Dallas

Outreach

The All Stars Project of Dallas is reaching hundreds of young people from the neighborhoods of South Oak Cliff, West Dallas and South Dallas and connecting them to the resources of Dallas's cultural, educational and corporate community. We are a branch of the national not-for-profit, All Stars, Inc., that is doing similar things in cities across the country-- from the San Francisco Bay Area to New York City. Through performance workshops, talent shows and leadership training, we are reaching disconnected teenagers and youth in poor communities and involving them in growth experiences after-school and on the weekends. We also have growing volunteer opportunities for people of all ages and background. One of these opportunities is our current Saturday outreach, where we hit the streets in South Oak Cliff each week and spread the word about the All Stars. Specifically we will be promoting our December 3 rd Talent Show at South Oak Cliff High School. During outreach we hand out flyers while also signing people up for auditions and engaging in important conversations with community members. We will meet at the South Pak Cliff High School on Marsalis every Saturday and conduct outreach from 10:30 - 1:30. Come make a difference with us!
