Random Acts of Flowers Indy is searching for a volunteer driver to assist us with floral donation deliveries to local hospitals and nursing homes.
We are searching for 1-3 drivers to share these shifts or act as backups for each other.
Shifts Needed:
Tuesday/Thursday: 12:30-3:30: Floral Deliveries to local hospitals/nursing homes
Candidates for this position should possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving a full-size Ford Transit loaded with precious cargo--carts full of beautiful floral arrangements! Must also be able/willing to load and unload delivery carts of flowers (using a lift), climb in and out of the van with ease, and push approximately 50 pounds.
We are searching for someone who is reliable, hard working, and friendly. Often, our driver is the face of the organization for our recipient partners, so this position requires someone who is positive, adaptible and has a decent sense of humor!

As we go about our mission we also reduce waste from lightly used and unsold flowers and other floral materials, including vases, bows and other floral materials and composting any green waste

Random Acts of Flowers is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2008. We operate 5 branches (Chicago, Knoxville, Silicon Valley, Tampa Bay and Indianapolis)

To inspire and nurture a culture of care and compassion.
HISTORYIn July 2007, Random Acts of Flowers’ founder, Larsen Jay, was in a near-fatal accident. While confined to his hospital room, the outpouring of support that Larsen received in the form of daily visitors and dozens of floral arrangements immediately aided in his long recovery.
When Larsen was capable of leaving his room he noticed how many of his fellow patients did not have visitors or flowers - the very thing that helped him so much in those early and difficult days. Within moments the first "random act of flowers" delivery was made, repurposing his flowers and delivering them to patients in nearby hospital rooms. The memories of how a simple gesture touched his fellow patients compelled Larsen to form Random Acts of Flowers in 2008
