Babysteps Ministry

Our Homeless Ministry is seeking someone to help plan our Training Events. We hold 3 each year (next up is June 17).

We've already planned and implemented the training three times and have a detailed task list with deadlines already set up.

We need someone who is great at communication, following instructions, delegating duties and meeting deadlines. This is a leadership position that requires initiatve and follow-through.

Specific tasks include promotions (newsletters to our volunteer base, social media posts, calls to churches), logistical organization with the team & venue, PowerPoint slide preparation, etc...

This job can be split among multiple volunteers if necessary.

Please contact me for more details if you're interested. It will be lots of fun!

Note: We are a faith-based organization and the training includes a lot of Christian content. If you are uncomfortable with that, you may not enjoy this job. (You're still welcome to help us out either way!)

About BABYSTEPS MINISTRY

Location:

Mission Statement

Motivated by the love of Jesus, Babysteps Ministry seeks to empower the homeless to take small steps toward lasting life change through relational discipleship.

Description

Babysteps uses a relational approach to solve homelessness. Our first step is not usually to meet physical needs. It’s to be friends. To understand. To just be. Homeless men and women are people, just like you. Isolation and feeling ignored are two of the worst things for anyone to experience. They crush the spirit. Demoralize the soul. Harden the heart. And homeless people live with them every day. This is their single greatest need, and no amount of free food will meet it.
