We are specifically looking for finance or financial analyst professionals with over 15 years experience to guide nonprofits with good fiscal practices & policies. The Executive Service Corps is the volunteer arm of the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University. Our volunteers are highly skilled professionals or retired individuals who are vetted, trained and become a part of a team dedicated to improving our community. The Bayer Center provides over 90 trainings a year and professional development to over 1000 people.
We require significant experience in your field. We receive requests from small, mid-sized, and large nonprofits for assistance in a variety of finance tasks including cash flow projections, dashboard development, budget development, review of policies and procedures, etc.
Assignments are given in teams or alone and range from an engagement of 1 hour to to a several month process. Expect to volunteer 2-20 hours a month, but this varies based on need and your schedule, & the location of the nonprofit. You will be asked to fill out a survey of your skills, experience, and availability; and then attend an info session and orientation. We would like a two-year commitment. We provide training, access to our course catalog, and occasional volunteer events. (www.bcnm-rmu.org)
