Here at New Hope Hospice we pride ourselves in being able to give back to the community in any way that we can. We are currently looking for new volunteers that will dedicate some time to spend with our patients and their families during this delicate time in their life. Whether its just reading the news paper, arts and crafts, listening to music or simply sitting and having conversation; every moment is cherished and appreciated beyond belief. We also have in office volunteer opportunities available. If you feel that you are the right person and would like to volunteer with us please feel free to contact me.

Perhaps the greatest gift you can give your dying friend is the gift of your presence. Rent a movie and bring popcorn. Play cards or Monopoly. Sit with her and watch the snow fall. Your simple presence will say to your friend, "I am willing to walk this difficult road with you and face with you whatever comes."
