Xhanat Inc. started as a Mexican folk dance group that teaches dances from the states and regions of Mexico to provide our dancers with more knowledge about their roots. We are looking for grant writers who can help us obtain funding for our community programs and hopefully, our own space to hold practices and other community events. If the grant proposal written by the volunteer is funded, there is opportunity for payment. The more grant proposals funded, the more money in your pocket. We hope to create workshops, lead summer camps, and create a space for the youth to gather and learn things outside of their comfort zone. It would be ideal to create a space that allows for exposure to other elements of the arts. For example, we could show that there is more to art than just drawing by giving demonstrations of ceramics, painting, and weaving. In the performing arts, there could be workshops for singing, theater, instrument lessons, and more.
