A Gilda's Greeter is the first friendly face that a person will see when they walk into the clubhouse. Greeters help keep things running smoothly, direct traffic, and help members find what they need. Your welcoming words and assistance can help families face cancer.
Objective:
Create a warm, welcoming first impression to Gilda’s Club Madison. Greet & guide Gilda’s Club members, volunteers & visitors as trained for safe, kind & prompt guidance to activities or staff.
Responsibilities:
Greet all visitors. Assure that members scan in for activities. Direct and interact with members, arrange clubhouse tours, link guests to staff who will provide general information about the clubhouse and program. Check out Library books. May be asked to do light clerical work. Answer telephones as needed.
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and computer skills, organizational skills and comfort in interacting with people. Pass background check.
Training/Supervision:
Must attend a Gilda’s 101 Volunteer Training. Additional training required with greeter captain or by shadowing another greeter.
