Brandywine Village Network engages volunteers to create a "network of support" for older adults living in and around North Wilmington, Delaware. By becoming a volunteer, you will help make it possible for older adults in your neighborhood to age in place.
Volunteers are needed to provide transportation to older adults. Destinations include doctor appointments, the grocery store, the hair salon, and more.
The schedule is very flexible. You choose when and how frequently you volunteer.

Description
Jewish Family Services is a health and human services agency serving families within the Delaware community for over a century, improving people’s lives and life prospects. With offices in Wilmington and Newark, JFS offers counseling, care management, youth development, and communal services to people without regard to race, ethnicity, or religion. Volunteers with JFS primarily serve older adults through Brandywine Village Network. BVN, for short, is an aging in place program designed to help older adults remain living at home independently. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for activities and schedules that best fit their interests and availability.
