Ascend Hospice is recruiting Volunteers who have served in the Military to help hospice patients who are Veterans.

"You have not lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you." Ascend Hospice is offering volunteer opportunities for compassionate, empathetic Veterans who want to enhance their lives by giving their time to others in their community. Ascend Hospice values those who have served in the Military and are recruiting Veteran’s to help our hospice patients who are Veterans. Ascend has a specialized program for honoring our patients who are Veterans. As a fellow Veteran, your experience helps you uniquely relate to our Veteran patients and their families with your comradery, distinct culture and common experience.

Training is free and at your convenience; and, you’ll have the support of our team and other volunteers.

Description

Hospice volunteers bring comfort, joy and love to patients who are terminally ill through their actions.

Volunteers simply need a caring heart and a willingness to serve. The extensive volunteer training program provides them with an awareness of patient's needs and prepares them to participate with the hospice team.
