Join the Halloween fun at Southtown Center with Artistry as we get kids making a simple take-home project at an art activity table. There will be a variety of other activities going on at Southtown and kids will be trick-or-treating at stores, making for a lively, enjoyable event for all.

What: Southtown Center's Boo Bash
When: Saturday, October 28.
Volunteers needed 12:30 - 2:30pm (Event runs 11:00am-2:00pm)

Volunteers will help families make a simple art project during their visit. Volunteers are needed for the afternoon shift from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. No art experience needed.

Artistry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers theater productions, visual art exhibitions, outreach programs, and art classes for youth and adults. For more information, visit artistrymn.org.

Artistry requires interested volunteers to fill out a simple application form to work any shifts.

Artistry conducts background checks for all prospective volunteers through the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), local law enforcement agencies, or other repositories of criminal history data.

Description

Artistry offers theater productions, visual art exhibitions, outreach programs, and art classes for youth and adults. Theater

From its modest beginnings in the mid-1950s, our theater program now attracts the best directors, choreographers, designers, and other theater artists in the region. Artistry produces eight productions per season, including dramas and comedies in the intimate Black Box Theater and large musicals with a critically-acclaimed pit orchestra in the 366-seat Schneider Theater.

Visual Arts

Artistry showcases the work of emerging and established artists from Minnesota and surrounding states. Each year, we curate 14 exhibitions that span a wide continuum of media and subject matter in two galleries in the Bloomington Center for the Arts, drawing more than 55,000 visits.

Arts Education

We offer year-round classes and workshops at the Bloomington Center for the Arts and bring arts learning experiences to people of all ages and abilities at schools, senior centers, libraries, farmers markets, and shopping centers in Bloomington and beyond.

Public Art and Creative Placemaking

In 2013, we launched a long-term partnership with the City of Bloomington and others to engage artists, designers, and other creative people in public art and creative placemaking.
