Join Rock Creek Conservancy, Dumbarton Oaks Conservancy, and the National Park Service for a special habitat restoration and seeding volunteer event in Dumbarton Oaks Park on Saturday, November 19th.
Volunteer Activity: Volunteers will help restore and rehabilitate a hillside in Dumbarton Oaks Park to a natural meadow. The activity will include raking and moving invasive plants, laying seeding, and aerating soil.
When: Saturday, November 19, 2016, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Where: Volunteers will meet at the top of Lover's Lane (approximately 3060 R Street NW). 2-hour street parking is available, or volunteers can contact Amanda Shull ahead of time at amandashull@dopark.org to arrange for parking at the Dumbarton Oaks offices.
What to Wear: Volunteers should come prepared with long pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and closed-toe shoes.
What to Bring: Bring water. Tools and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own tools and gloves if you have them. Snacks will be provided.
