Upon arriving in the United States, refugees are faced with many challenges as they adjust to their new lives here. Most refugees lack the familiarity with the American financial system that is necessary to build successful lives for themselves and their families.
We are seeking volunteers who are committed to effectively removing barriers to financial prosperity and wellbeing that is facilitated by fluency in American financial systems. The positions would include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Instruction of job-readiness and financial literacy topics in both a one on one or class room environment
  • Assistance with job placement
  • Resume creation
  • Assistance with job applications
  • Providing transportation to and from interviews

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong employment record and interview skills
  • Attendance of mandatory training
  • Cultural Competence
  • Background Check
  • Driver’s License and Insurance
  • At least 18 years old
