Mission Statement

Driven by the spirit of mercy and compassion, th emission of the Children Deserve A Chance Foundation is to serve as an agent for change, assisting in the spiritual, emotional, and educational cultivation of Lancaster's youth.

Description

Within the city of Lancaster sits a storefront building on the 400 Block of N. Queen Street; a youth haven where education counts and good citizenship matters. With an ultimate goal of getting kids to and through college, CDCF is proud to provide local students the opportunities for Scholarships, Motivational Speakers, and Educational Programs dedicated to Literacy, Character Development, Mentorship and Entrepreneurship.
Our largest program, the BowTie Program, consists of 35 inner-city students of all ages and backgrounds; each student embodying tremendous potential, yet facing some sort of adversity in their lives. As full-time mentors and tutors, we develop relationships with the students, parents and educators to ensure a recurring theme of success in each of our scholars' lives and futures. Since the beginning of our program, we have led 100% of our graduating seniors to college and look forward to continued success. Graduates of our program will possess the tools necessary to allow them to make a difference, which has an immediate impact with their personal lives, as well as their families, friends, schools and communities.
With support from people and organizations like yourself, we are able to provide services in return for dedication and an urgency and devotion to succeed, rather than any form of monetary fees. By providing inspiration, direction and support, our ultimate goal is to materialize dreams and to enable every child to reach their greatest potential.
