Due to COVID-19 we follow safety recommendations so please bring a mask.
This opportunity is available and FREE on TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS ONLY. We welcome families, teens and adults of all ages to help. We also welcome groups with prior appointment. This opportunity is intended to bring the world of horses to the people of our community. This is a challenge to bring people in to see what it takes to care for 70 animals a day and how to keep a nonprofit going for 34 years. We are Broward Counties oldest and largest horse rescue and only sanctuary. We have been saving Florida's horses since 1987. We'd love to meet you. No experience needed, you will learn as you go! Hope to see you at the ranch!
If you would rather have the opportunity to come Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday please sign up to become a member at www.eiahorses.org then choose the date of the orientation & safety class you plan to attend. Once you have done the 1 hour class you can begin volunteering! www.eiaHORSES.org

Our mission and vision is to provide a permanent safe haven for all horses that are asymptomatic carriers of Equine Infectious Anemia within the state of Florida as well as for any horse in immediate need of assistance in Broward County thus preventing their needless destruction.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S., Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization that was estblished in 1987. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. offers various programs to the commuity in an effort to welcome everyone to the world of horses and volunteerism. F.R.I.E.N.D.S.,Inc. rescues EIA (Equine infectious Anemia) positive horses, which would otherwise be destroyed. We are a quarantine facility with 40+ horses. Our facility works with Vets, Major Companies and Colleges hoping to create a cure or vaccine for EIA. All of our funds go to the direct benefit of the horses. Our ranch provides an alternative to euthanasia for the horses and an opportunity for our members to enjoy the companionship of a horse, which is otherwise to expensive for many people. We have numerous functions where the whole family can participate.
We'll work with your schedule.
