About

The Pine Barrens Partnership is an all- volunteer organization dedicated to conserving the Massachusetts Coastal Pine Barrens Eco-region, a globally rare ecosystem that is greatly imperiled. One of our goals is to raise public awareness about the importance of our local forests, wetlands and natural communities. We need help to create a media campaign that supports all of the organizations and agencies working to conserve the natural resources of the greater community.

We are seeking a videographer to record the presentations of state and municipal agencies and conservation organizations during a conservation forum we are planning for January. Every organization is invited to give a formal 5-minute presentation, sequenced one after the other throughout the day. The presentations will occur in the "Black Box" theater at Cape Cod Community College. Participants will also have an opportunity to explain their projects during poster sessions.

The videographer will record all presentations and a compile a video in a program designed to highlight the variety and importance of conservation work going on throughout the Pine Barrens.

The video will be hosted and available for viewing on the Massachusetts Coastal Pine Barrens Partnership website ( www.pinebarrenspartnership.org). We will distribute the video program to local cable access television stations in each of the 31 towns within the eco-region. Each participating organization will receive a copy of the video to use to promote their missions.

Your video will expand the outreach and highlight the missions of the agencies and organizations that are working every day to protect habitat and conserve our natural resources. Thank you for considering this volunteer opportunity.
