Terra Farm Sanctuary is grateful for the wonderful volunteers who help care for our residents, but over time, we have had to say goodbye to some amazing humans, as they have moved out of the area, or made life changes. The founders work day jobs to support the sanctuary financially, and currently they are in need of several committed volunteers. Terra is looking for compassionate individuals to assist in caring for rescued farm animals! If you have a desire to work with donkeys, sheep, roosters, goats, as well as companion dogs and parrot. Please consider joining The Terra Farm Sanctuary family!
Shifts are 2.5 - 3 hours, mornings and evenings, and are somewhat flexible. A typical shift includes:
- Feeding and watering
- Bedding and yard cleaning
Experience is helpful, but if you are dedicated to helping animals, we are eager to meet you! Full training will be provided!
We are a vegan sanctuary, and although a commitment to veganism is not required, new and transitioning vegans are encouraged to apply.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About Terra Farm Sanctuary
6014 N Rambo Rd, Spokane, WA 99224, US
Terra Farm Sanctuary is a 501c3 charitable organization, created to give retired, abused, and unwanted animals a protected and compassionate home, while providing for their well-being and comfort, allowing them to thrive. These animals will not work, perform, or otherwise produce while living out their natural lives in peace. Terra works to create public awareness of the crisis faced by farmed and commoditized animals through vegan education and advocacy.
Founded in 2016, Terra farm Sanctuary resides in northwest Spokane County, on the edge of Indian Prairie, amid towering pines and meandering wildlife.
We provide a compassionate home for beings who have been victims of neglect, abuse, and fear, have retired from arduous labor, or are the unwanted products of factory farming and youth projects. TERRA is a place of solace, where we respectfully allow our non-human family to live out their natural lives in peace.
We understand the importance of animal freedoms and make thoughtful choices in our daily lives; we share information on veganism, plant-based eating, and ethical, non-animal alternatives to everyday goods and services. We also offer one-on-one support to those seeking to transition to veganism, or to existing vegans with questions about ethical considerations, plant based eating, and resources.
Terra is able to provide for the needs of our family through the generous support of our friends. Volunteers help us manage daily activities, and are the backbone of what we do, please consider volunteering with us!
We'll work with your schedule.
