The Friends of the Big Bear Valley Library regularly host programs for our community and partner with other Valley organizations to connect Valley needs with library resources. To assist our Board of Directors in these efforts, Communications Coordinators are needed. We are looking for positive people willing to learn - formal experience is not required! We will train volunteers who show an interest in and aptitude for any of the following:
-Developing content for news releases, program marketing, member communications, and meeting/program presentations
-Managing local newspaper and radio advertising purchases
-Managing vendor relationships such as printers, speakers, caterers
-Delivering presentations to community organizations about the Friends and the Library

Description
The Friends are your neighbors and fellow community members of the Big Bear Valley. What we do: Provide funding for critical library resources and children's reading programs; present free programs for the public; and host a used bookstore within the library. We reach out to community members and organizations to facilitate active partnerships with the library.
