The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center's Project SHINE (Support, Healthcare, INtervention, Education) is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary HIV services program, developed to meet an essential need in the community. Project SHINE provides mental health care, crisis intervention, and referrals for substance abuse treatment, STDs, viral hepatitis screening, and treatment. For those at risk, education and referral services are available through targeted in-reach and out-reach activities.
Volunteers are needed to assist with outreach and in reach activities, in particular helping to assemble safe sex packages as well as other office related tasks. Depending on volunteers schedules, they may also be able to assist at outreach events.
