Veteran Volunteering with Patient/family.-- Providing companionship, reading, supporting family and patient through the hospice journey with the assistance of the team. This is very rewarding opportunity to meet the patient and the family where they are in their hospice journey. Be able to provide active listening, or allow them time to go run errands and not worry about how are they getting everything accomplished. Training is provided free, everything that you need to have a rewarding experience.
Our patients and families need you so they may continue to work to support their family. What a wonderful experience you had with hospice palliative care for your loved one! Are you ready now to give back!!
