We are honored to partner with the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino's Chili and Beer Festival from October 21st - 23rd. This exciting event will feature the best of local craft brews, Chili Cookoff Challenges and a Special Charity Event challenge!
All volunteers will receive an event t-shirt, as well as food/drinks during your shift.
Please join us as a volunteer to help ensure the success of this event as we support our partners at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino!
On Friday, October 21, 2016 we are in need of volunteers to assist with:
- Food and Beverage Service from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. (3 volunteers needed)
- Wristband and Program Distribution volunteers from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. (2 volunteers needed)
On Saturday, October 22, 2016 we are in need of volunteers to assist with:
- Tasting Mug Distribution from 12:30 - 6:00 p.m. (3 volunteers needed, must be 21+)
- Wristband and Program Distribution from 12:30 - 6:00 p.m. (2 volunteers needed)
On Saturday, October 22, 2016 we are in need of volunteers to assist with:

Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Description
Our Make-A-Wish chapter grants one wish every three days in the Central California region. Volunteers throughout our chapter support our mission work in wish granting, special events, community relations, corporate fundraising, community awareness and other critical areas. Volunteers work in local communities by impacting the lives of Central California children. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. It is important to note that during this time, we have made volunteer orientations and trainings readily available virtually for the health and safety of everyone.
Wish Granter
Wish Granters work in teams of two as a liaison between a wish family and Make-A-Wish. They help determine a child's wish and play an instrumental role in helping to turn the wish into reality. You must be at least 21 years old, complete Wish Granter training, and be able to make two or more visits to the family during the course of the wish process. Wish Visits have recently become available to do virtually as well.
