The Actors Theatre Workshop is offering a unique opportunity for individuals to be at the center of the vibrant cultural mix of diversity taking place in America, as reflected through plays and professional theatre expression. We are seeking panel members (directors, writers, actors, literary professionals) to read and evaluate play submissions for our Plays in Development Program.
ATW is establishing its Plays in Development for young directors and playwrights to develop rehearse and present staged readings of their original, new plays, in keeping with the tradition of support for new and aspiring theatre artists.
This exciting program will provide the selected playwrights and directors with a beautiful theatre facility in which to develop and produce their work as either a workshop production or staged reading.
The panel will have the unique experience of giving playwrights a voice in the community and provide a venue to dramatize conflicts on the theatrical platform. We are interested in creating a diverse panel, made up of eight to ten directors, writers, actors, and literary professionals to read and select the winning plays for this contest.
If you are interested in being a member of the panel to read the plays in this contest, please submit a resume and cover letter, as well as a response to the question below to: hr@ActorsTheatreWorkshop.com
Question:
Taking into consideration the multitude of diverse cultures emerging within our society, how does theatre address pertinent issues in a way that allows us to have a positive insight into these emerging new cultures?
Please visit our website: www.ActorsTheatreWorkshop.com, to learn more about our organization before submitting materials.
