The St. Columbanus Food Pantry started in 2004 and remains committed to ending food insecurity in the Park Manor and Greater Grand Crossing neighborhoods. The Food Pantry has met the explosion of need in the neighborhood with committed volunteers and the parish support.

Volunteers Needed For Food Bagging, Sorting, Packing and Distribution

Responsibilities include: Assisting with sorting, preparation, packing and restocking for food distribution

Qualifications/skills: Organized and flexible person, work with a small group, able to move small boxes, food items, no heavy lifting required.

Description

RSVP members may choose from a list of agencies in Chicago that have a signed agreement with the RSVP office. Volunteer assignments are made according to volunteers’ skills and interests and the needs of the stations.

Each volunteer position has different time requirements. RSVP strives to help you find opportunities that match your interest and scheduling needs. You will then work with your station supervisor to finalize your schedule. This will include time for orientation and training.
