What is the Calf Scramble Committee:

The Calf Scramble committee is a group of adults, young and seasoned, who form a commitment to prep, mentor, laugh (or cry) with, offer suggestions, encourage, hug, raise funds so a young adult can follow their passion of raising an animal and all the rewards that come along with.

The "scrambler", be it a 4H or FFA student, enrolls in a chance to 'catch’ a calf. Each time the scrambler catches a calf in the progressive steps to the final, they have succeeded in acquiring funds to purchase the animal of their choice, be it a Steer, Swine, Boer Goat, etc.

Calf Scramble volunteers are also responsible for helping to meet the financial goals of this committee. Do not let this sponsorship seeking scare you off. This committee works together to help each other as needed, to go and find companies or individuals that would donate to this activity. Overall, we are a group of dedicated volunteers who love to give back to the youth of Texas.
