ORGANIZATION: The Salvation Army San Diego Regional Office

Support The Salvation Army El Cajon Corps Community Center in helping our community garden grow! We need volunteers to help in the garden.


Qualifications and requirements for this position:

  • Must be able to commit to one hour a week from 1-2 pm on Thursdays, for three months or more
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries as required and appropriate
  • Have strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and participants
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Lead small groups in maintaining health of vegetable garden, such as watering and feeding of plants, cleaning plant debris, and communicating garden needs with leads
  • Lead group activities related to gardening, such as games or crafts
