ORGANIZATION: Meals on Wheels Orange County

The author will be given a specific senior citizen to interview. He or she will write up the senior's real life story of living through racial tensions. Stories could be about the senior experiencing prejudice and racism, or about the positive changes they have witnessed in this country with integration and cultural understanding. The author will arrange to meet the senior citizen at the Anaheim West Senior Center before or after lunch their lunch program between November 14th and November 30th for the interviews. Arrangements can be made for phone interviews instead. All story submissions must be to the editor by December 1st. A Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration will take place on January 16th at 11:30am at Anaheim West Senior Center where the authors and the seniors will be honored with a copy of the anthology containing all the stories.
