The Volunteer Grants Assistant primarily supports our branch by performing a variety of tasks and duties including, but not limited to: assisting in researching potential grant opportunities, assisting in applying for and writing grants, assisting in the management of existing grants, assisting in creating grant reports, and assisting in the monitoring of upcoming grant deadlines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow grant management plan
  • Assist with the restructuring and maintenance of our grant system
  • Attend grant-related events in and around our community
  • Assist in researching grant opportunities
  • Assist in applying for and writing of grants
  • Assist in managing existing grants
  • Assist in creating grant reports
  • Assist in the monitoring of upcoming grant deadlines

Description

The Lewis and Joan Platt East Palo Alto Family YMCA opened in 2007, after what began as a dream nearly two decades before. This dream became a reality for thousands of children, youth and adults. Today the Y plays a much larger in the community-its a place where all people are welcomed together. We empower future generations through programs and services that build healthy mind, body and spirit.


We welcome volunteers! and give volunteer hours and community service hours.
Programs: youth sports, homework club (after school tutoring) youth and government, Nana y Yo, specialty programs.
