ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association Washington State Chapter

Join the fast paced world of conference and event management as the Alzheimer's Association’s next Conference Intern. The Conference Intern has the opportunity to learn all aspects of conference and event planning and management through actively preparing for and executing several chapter conferences during their term. The Washington State Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association annually serves thousands of participants through their community and regional conferences for professionals and family caregivers. Your work with The Alzheimer’s Association will improve our ability to provide information and support to people impacted by Alzheimer's disease while participating in new opportunities for your professional growth.



Qualifications:

  • Strong desire to be part of a team, participate fully and learn new skills while meeting goals of the conference schedule

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate and maintain positive relationships with diverse groups and individuals; enthusiasm, flexibility, adaptability

  • Initiative and the ability to work independently

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and online registration systems a plus

  • Experience in the event, customer service, administrative or related field preferred

  • Access to reliable transportation

  • Knowledge and experience in the field of dementia a plus

Serving 47 counties in Washington and North Idaho, the Alzheimer’s Association Washington State Chapter is the premier resource in the Pacific Northwest for people impacted by Alzheimer's disease and all other dementia. Through five local offices and a network of dedicated volunteers, our Chapter offers a broad range of care and support services, education and advocacy, as well as funding for Alzheimer’s and dementia research.
