The ECHO Homeless Shelter is looking for volunteers to help with our laundry needs. The Laundry Angels help by picking up bags of laundry, bedding and towels only, and washing them at their houses. The Laundry Angels then return the laundry to the shelter within a week clean and folded.
The days and hours for this position are very flexible.
Since volunteers working directly with clients must be 18 years or older, this is a great opportunity for families with children to volunteer together and help our shelter clients from your own home.

The purpose of the El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) is to focus the resources of local community, religious organizations, and individuals to help the homeless. ECHO will provide support services that address the root causes of homelessness and will help the homeless find a level of self-sufficiency that is appropriate to each individual.
Description
The El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) provides meals, shelter, and supportive services to the homeless and hungry of northern San Luis Obispo County. Operating 365 days a year, ECHO is volunteer based organization that is supported by a coalition of churches, service organizations, and individuals. Our family atmosphere and selfless dedication of volunteers has been a refuge for many in their times of need.
