About

The Orchard is a peer-led community center dedicated to providing an inviting, judgment-free space for people with mental health challenges to support each
other in recovery. Together, we have created a coffee house style environment
where access to resources, support groups, computers & Internet, yoga, free
coffee, and more is offered throughout the week. A state cerrtified Peer Support & Wellness Specialist is also available throughout the day to offer a listening ear, explore options in a crisis, or talk through a difficult situation. As a volunteer, The Orchard will offer you a chance to use your own lived experience to build connections with and walk along side others who are facing similar experiences. Your most difficult days will become the inspiration for someone else to discover their own inner strength and courage. Being a volunteer at The Orchard means using the expertise you have gained through your own journey to walk along side others who long to know that they are not alone. An Orchard volunteer is dedicated to their recovery, excited to share their journey and learn from their peers, and will protect every member’s right to be the expert in their own recovery.
