ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association Washington State Chapter

The tide of people affected by Alzheimer's disease is expected to rapidly increase in the coming years. Alzheimer's disease is already the third leading cause of death in Washington and over 100,00 people are living with this disease everyday in our state. But Alzheimer's affects more than just the individual living with the disease as it poses unique financial and emotional stress to their family and caregivers as well. To meet the needs of this growing population the Washington State Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is actively searching for volunteers to join our team.

Our Community Liaison Volunteers increase the public's understandings and awareness of Alzheimer's disease through representing the Alzheimer's Association at health fairs, community events and social gatherings in their local community. Community Liaison Volunteers empower those affected by offering services and tools to cope and inspire all into action to join the movement to end Alzheimer's. This disease sees no boundaries, join these volunteers and help us serve those affected by Alzheimer's in your community today.
