We are a diverse local civil rights organization in mission to create the beloved community, envisioned by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, in Greater Southern Chester County that provides opportunities for fellowship, service, justice and the eradication of poverty. We are seeking passionate volunteers who share our mission and vision who have a background and skills in organizational development, strategic planning, fundraising, advocacy, accounting, law, public relations or leadership and who are dedicated to eliminating discrimination and ensuring equality in all areas of life.

To revitalize in our community Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream of peace and harmony among all people.

Description

Our vision is to create a beloved community in Greater Southern Chester County Pennsylvania that provides opportunities for fellowship, service, justice and the eradication of poverty. The organization hosts an annual CommUNITY breakfast, now it it's 16 year, a Day of Sharing, gathers and distributes food for needy families via the Kennett Food Cupboard, sponsors annual "change for change" drives on Go Fund Me to enable Kennett Food Cupboard to purchase food throughout the year for the hungry, provides scholarships to graduates of three area high schools, sponsors book sales about Dr. Martin Luther King and others working for equality, coffee and conversation fellowships led by MLK Advocates on social justice issues and much more.
