ORGANIZATION: The Volunteer Center of Randolph County, a program of the United Way of Randolph County

tutors needed to help at the Dream Center, an afterschool program that helps under priviledged kids in the Asheboro Comunity. The Dream Center is open 4 days a week from 2:30-6:00. They help their students with homwork each and every day and need willing volunteers to help with tutoring. Their students are just from grades k-5.

The mission of The Volunteer Center of Randolph County is to mobilize volunteers to address community needs and to strengthen the capacity of local organizations to involve volunteers effectively.

Description

The center is a comprehensive resource center for volunteers and programs that utilize the services of volunteers. The center will recruit and refer volunteers and help agencies effectively orient, train, retain, recognize and evaluate volunteers.
